Tiree - Scotland

Beach wheelchairs are available from Tiree Ranger Service.

Not been to Tiree yet but heard that it is a lovely island with amazing beaches.

Our daughter Ruth loves the beach wheelchairs in North Berwick. Going to North Berwick again this year.

Quoting from the website there are two types of beach wheelchairs:

Hippocampe - Ideal for children and small adults
Low level to have that close to the sea and sand feeling.
OPTION 1: Standard rear wheels - better for grass
PTION 2 - Balloon tyres - better for the beach

Nomad - Lightweight beach chair suitable for adults and children. Seating similar to a standard wheelchair.
