A medium hippocampe beach wheelchair suitable for children and small adults is available to use at Seton Sands in East Lothian.

The beach wheelchair is low to the ground, so perfect for getting close to the sand and sea. The fixed front wheel may make it more difficult for some people. It has an arm rest, leg rest, lap strap, chest harness and head rest.

There is also now a Nomad manual beach wheelchair at this site. The footrests move to the side to assist with transfers. This is based on a basic manual wheelchair frame.

There is no hoist at this location.

The beach wheelchair is available to hire from Haven but is not restricted to use by their customers. All equipment is free to hire.

Access to the beach is via a boardwalk.

There is a disabled parking bay in the Village where the collection point for the wheelchair is in a storage container, and it is a short walk to the beach.
