They have a Landeez wheelchair here for hire.

Not sure of cost as the man who hired it before me was late and they waived the charge.

Best to book at the height of the summer season.

It's for teenagers and adults.

Saunton Sands is a lovely flat beach in North Devon.

We have taken both electric and manual wheelchairs onto the beach. The biggest problem we had was the soft sand just as you come off and onto the concrete slipway.

It is available for hire on a half day, daily or weekly basis.

Advance booking is available and recommended during the summer period and school holidays.

The beach wheelchair is suitable for adults and children.

The car park at Saunton Sands has disabled parking. Access to the beach is via a concreted slipway.
