Ask at the swimming pool. They are very helpful.
You may have to book the beach wheelchair but we've never had a problem.
There is another beach wheelchair or two on the Island. But I can’t remember where they a kept, Ryde swimming pool will tell you.

I had a look at the swimming pool website but was unable to find out anymore details.
However, I did find out that the swimming pool offers sensory swims to help children with sensory or learning disabilities.

The local council also offer the use of beach wheelchairs for children who live on the Island through their short breaks programme. They have 3 wheelchairs available at Ryde and Sandown.
They are available for use to aid inclusion on schools trips and group outings. They can also be hired on an individual basis, for a morning or an afternoon free of charge, with refundable deposit (£25).
There are 4 Changing Places toilets on the Isle of Wight 3 at Newport and one at Tesco's just outside of Ryde.
