The town council has two beach wheelchairs so that you can go on our sandy beaches as well as a floating wheelchair so you can enjoy the sea.
Each wheelchair is different to suit different mobility needs.
They can be reserved in advance through the town council office on 01297 445175 or at enquiries@lymeregistowncouncil.gov.uk, or on the day if they are not already booked out.
They can be collected from the Marine Parade Shelters on the seafront, where one of our members of staff will be available to help.
A £20 returnable deposit is required on collection. from the Jubilee Pavilion in the middle

Hi not a beach wheelchair but an accessible beach hut on the Marine Parade at Lyme Regis in Dorset. As you can see there is a wide door on the side and a drop down ramp.
There is a notice on the door that says that it is primarily for use by Dorset families with disabled children.
You can book in advance by emailing:
dpccbeachhuts@live.co.uk or telephone: 07827 793 244
If there is no advance booking by 10am it can be booked on the day through the Dorset Parent Carer Council (DPCC)
It may then be available for use by a family with a member of any age who is disabled.
More information visit: Rinky Tinks Ice Cream Parlour.
Cost is £4 a day all year.
