Charities usually request that a child only makes one application for a wish.
Dial a Dream aims to fulfil the dreams of children diagnosed with life limiting and life threatening illness. It is open to children aged 3 to 18 years.
Past dreams have included trips to Florida, EuroDisney, meeting a sporting hero or favourite musician.
Parents are able to nominate their child by completing an application form. The form can be downloaded following acceptance of the charity's terms and conditions.
Dreamflight organises holidays of a lifetime to seriously ill and disabled children without their parents to Orlando, Florida.
The ten day holiday for children and young people aged 8 to 14 years is accompanied by a team of medical carers who provide 24 hour care that includes a doctor, physiotherapist and 3 nurses. Additional non medical care also support the children.
The charity select children who will benefit from the experience and are able to cope with the long flight and pace of the holiday.

Dream Makers Children's Charity grants the wishes and dreams of ill and disabled children.
The wishes could be a holiday at Disney World, Lapland, or swimming with the dolphins. They also provide funding for therapy, wheelchairs and other equipment including special outdoor play areas in the child's home.
For children who are too ill to travel long distances the charity have 4 eight berth mobile holiday homes in Torbay, Devon.

Dreams come True provides children and young adults (5-16 years) with severe and life threatening illnesses the opportunity to fulfil their dreams.
Each dream is unique but past dreams have included swimming with the dolphins, a seaside holiday, a TV and a music centre.

The Dreams Team grants the dreams and wishes of sick, terminally ill and disabled children.
Past dreams have included meeting Ant and Dec, a Christmas trip to Lapland, provision of specialist car seating and computer equipment.
To nominate a child contact the Dream Team for an application form.
Hannah's Holiday Homes for sick children and their families was set up in memory of Hannah Westbrook who sadly died aged 8 years.
It offers free breaks from the gruelling treatments of hospital at three locations in luxury holiday homes.
The homes are located in the New Forest, Hayling Island and Milford-on-sea.
It is also able to offer the homes to families where someone very special has died.
Families are referred by local hospitals.

Kids in Need grants wishes to terminally ill/seriously ill children or children with multiple disabilities aged 3 to 19 years.
The wishes vary enormously from meeting a celebrity to a ride in a helicopter.
It will not fund computer equipment and other items that should be provided by statutory services.
To apply: contact the Wish Co-ordinator on 07786 082077 for an application form.
The charity also require that the family provide the charity with two completed wish photographs or a video.
The Foundation grants wishes to children and young people between the ages of 3 and 17 years who have not received a wish from another charity.
Applications may be made direct by the parents or a professional. Referrals may be made by post or through the on-line wish referral form.
The Foundation will then contact the child's Consultant to establish eligibility.
Promise Dreams help seriously or terminally ill children under 18 years and their families.
It provides once in a lifetime dreams from holidays to meeting their favourite celebrity.
Families are asked to consider fundraising as they may only be able to offer a donation towards the dream.
To apply: download the on-line application form. Two letters of support will be required on headed notepaper confirming the medical condition of the child.
This charity grants wishes to children aged 3-18 years living with serious or life threatening conditions
There is a medical criteria, divided in three categories.

The Round Table Children's Wish is a separate charity to The Round Table but is supported by Round Table members.
It grants wishes for children and young people aged 4 to 17 years who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses. The child must not have received a wish from another wish granting charity or organisation before.
Past wishes have included a trip the Disneyland Paris, an ipad, a garden playhouse a trip to the theatre and swimming with dolphins. It is the child's wish and the child's choice - not what someone else has chosen.

Starlight grants special wishes to children who are seriously or terminally ill between the ages of 4 to 18 years.
Children are eligible for up to two years from the end their treatment.
Anyone can apply on behalf of the child using the on-line application form.
When You Wish Upon a Star is a wish charity for children aged 2-16 years with life threatening or terminal illnesses.
Wishes are varied from day trips to swimming with the dolphins in Florida.
The charity takes a party of children to Lapland each year to see Santa, his reindeers and elves. They also have an annual Center Parcs holiday.
Wish properties providing holiday accommodation are available in England, Spain and Florida for the use of wish children and their families.
