Free to hire beach wheelchairs. They ask for donations.

We booked in advance, but I'd guess if they had availability they'd let you take it there and then.

Beautiful sandy beach with a long coastline to follow.

To hire a wheelchair please contact the team of volunteers on 0300 770 4624 or message Dornoch Beach Wheelchairs through their Facebook page.

There are four state of the art wheelchairs with large, rubber wheels that move easily over the sand.

They can also be pushed into the sea to allow the user to enjoy a paddle.

The hydraulic hoist enables safe transfer from the users chair into the beach chair.
