Brighton and Hove City Council have two all terrain beach wheelchairs to use on their beaches. They are free to use with a refundable deposit.
The Beach wheelchairs are made from stainless steel with four very large tyres for moving across the sand. They have different seating options for individual posture needs .
The wheelchairs are available from the Brighton and Hove Seafront Office, 141 Kings Road Arches, Lower Esplanade, Brighton BN1 2FN Telephone: 01273 29271
Proof of ID will be required when collecting the wheelchair.
There is a Changing Places toilet on the seafront at Collonade Toilets on Madeira Drive.

The Sealife aquariums are fascinating places giving a glimpse into the magical world beneath the seas from shrimps and starfish to seahorses and sharks.
Proof of disability will be required to gain a free carers ticket. This may be a doctors note, Blue Badge or something that states the disability.
The site is wheelchair friendly with a disabled access entrance located through a tunnel off the beach.
To obtain the 30% discount you need to book at least 24 hours in advance of visit.
