Beach Wheelchairs - Jersey

Jersey has beach wheelchairs at seven locations around the island.

They are available for use by anyone with a long term disability, temporary mobility impairment, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties or cancer.

A portable hoist is available at all locations for transfers from a wheelchair to a beach wheelchair.

The beach wheelchairs are available for up to 3 hours.

Visit to St Brilades Bay

I had an extremely enjoyable time at the beach due to being able to transfer into one of your buggies.

Not only that I knew that my powered wheelchair was safely locked away in your secure unit. It is over 20 years since I managed to go on a beach or sea.

Thank you very much for the experience.

We transferred a small donation into your bank and hope you are able to expand your services via all the donations that add up over the season.

Looking forward to a return trip to Jersey and another beach experience.
